'She is 63 years old and at the moment she lives in the island of SANT\'ANTIOCO,Sardinia - ITALY. She began her artistic career since 1954 and her work is successfully continued today. Her pictures are realized, with a particular technique, on oil-colours and using a special  spattle  ( Spatule ). The main features of Taberlet\'s painting are rare and characteristic such as to create a unique world  ( The world of Maria Taberlet ). The entire output of the painter is distinguished into two different periods almost facing each other. In the first period she realized her paints in a "naïf" manner, in the second her painting reached a higher level of expression. It is remarkable the ideal linking of the two periods represented by the ever valid novelty of  colours, lights and hues solidified into forms transparent like crystals. All these effects naturally reflect the idea and the character of the artist. In all Taberlet\'s paints is clearly shown an intense light, like a lighthouse, indicating the salvation way to the sailor in the rough sea, and this meaning that any defect has a remedy or that last hope never dies. For the moment I cannot give the full story of the painter except a few photos of national and international  awards.',

'Maria Taberlet.   La vocation picturale de Maria Taberlet est spontanée. L\'artiste peint par impulsion tout ce qui est susceptible (objets, paysages, ambiance) d\'évoquer  pourelle une quelconque émotion. Les résultats s\'inscrivent dans le cercle d\'un art figuratif moderne, stylisé, oùseuls les volumes — sur lesquels jouent ombres et lumières — suffisent à donner une vibration intense à l\'ensemble. A l\'exposition nationale d\'art sacré et du paysage mystique, Maria Taberlet a présenté une huile sur toile : Le recueillement. Dans le même esprit, citons aussi une très émouvante Adoration. Attaché au figuratif, il demeure parfois dans un sobre réalisme que sa purée rapproche du classicisme comme dans son buste de Dinna, ou dans une Maternité, si touchante de tendresse. Cependant, il fait appel a certaines déformations pour mieux accuser le caractère du thème choisi, d\'ailleurs souvent religieux : Deposistone, bouleversant dans sa simplicité ; Porte de tabernacle symbolisant la vie humaine autour du Christ et des instruments de la Passion.',
